hier eine Nachricht aus der PoWi:

Nach Gesprächen zwischen Dekan und Präsidium als Reaktion auf unseren Protestbrief haben wir mit unserer Aktion einen Teilerfolg erzielt. Die Stelle wird nicht ersatzlos gestrichen und wir möchten den Weg für weitere Gespräche ebenen. Deswegen sagen wir die öffentliche Übergabe des Briefes an das Präsidium am Montag ab.
Wir halten Euch natürlich über die weiteren Entwicklungen und hoffentlich Erfolge in dieser Sache auf dem Laufenden.

Following conversations between the Dean and the university leadership in response to our protest letter, we’ve achieved a partial success. The position will not be cut without replacement, and we want to keep the door open for further talks. That’s why we’ve decided to cancel the planned public handover of the letter to the university executive on Monday.
We’ll keep you posted on any updates and hopefully further wins in this matter.

die Kürzungspolitik an der Uni betrifft nicht nur die Geographie: In den Politikwissenschaften plant die Uni, eine Professur für internationale Beziehungen (IB) zu streichen. Dagegen wehren sich Beschäftigte und Studierende des Instituts mit einem Protestbrief. Gemeinsames Treffen von Studierenden sowie Mitarbeiter*innen der Geographie zur Teilnahme an der Protestaktion: Montag, 14.7., 11:00 Uhr vor dem Geomatikum zum „Pferdestall“ loslaufen

The cutback policy at the university is not only affecting geography: the university is planning to cut a professorship for international relations (IB) in political science. The letter is to be handed over to the President’s Office as part of a protest action on Monday, July 14:
📍Meet at 11:15 on Monday 14.07.25 in front of the entrance to AP1 (Pferdestall)
