Bundesweit gehen zum Hochschulaktionstag am 28. Januar Beschäftigte der Hochschulen und Studierende für bessere Arbeits- und Studienbedingungen auf die Straße.
Bei uns in Hamburg machen Finanzsenator Andreas Dressel und Wissenschaftssenatorin Maryam Blumenthal kein Geheimnis draus: mit ihnen wird es in den kommenden Jahren keine bedarfsgerechte Ausfinanzierung der Uni geben – die strukturelle Unterfinanzierung der Uni wird weiter wachsen!
Das Präsidium der Uni drückt derweil den Sparkurs gegen die Interessen der an der Uni Studierenden und Arbeitenden fleißig durch. Mit dem nun anlaufenden sog. „Strukturprozess“ werden vom Präsidium mindestens 13 % an der gesamten Uni und sogar bis zu 24 % Kürzungen an der MIN-Fakultät als Ziel ausgegeben. Während die Kürzungen für die Beschäftigten vor allem Arbeitsverdichtung und Überlastung bedeuten, äußern sie sich für Studierende im Abbau von studentischen Hilfskraftstellen und einer abnehmenden Qualität des Studiums.
Deshalb lasst uns als Studierende und Beschäftigte zusammen für gute Arbeits- und Studienbedingungen einstehen!

Across Germany, university employees and students will take to the streets on January 28 for University Action Day to demand better working and studying conditions.
Here in Hamburg, Finance Senator Andreas Dressel and Science Senator Maryam Blumenthal make no secret of the fact that, with them at the helm, there will be no needs-based funding for the university in the coming years—the structural underfunding of the university will continue to grow!
Meanwhile, the university’s executive committee is diligently pushing through austerity measures that go against the interests of students and employees at the university. With the so-called “structural process” now underway, the executive committee has set a target of at least 13% cuts across the entire university and up to 24% cuts in the MIN faculty. While the cuts mainly mean increased workloads and overload for employees, for students they mean fewer student assistant positions and a decline in the quality of their studies.
Therefore, let us as students and employees stand together for good working and studying conditions!
