Zur MIN-Vollversammlung der Studierenden und Beschäftigten vom 21.05.2026

Mit rund 220 Studierenden sowie Beschäftigten aus Wissenschaft, Verwaltung, Technik und den Bibliotheken/ aus der MIN-Fakultät sind wir heute zusammengekommen, um uns gemeinsam über die aktuellen Entwicklungen im Zuge des sogenannten „Strukturprozesses“ auszutauschen und klarzumachen: Die Angriffe auf unsere Arbeits- und Studienbedingungen werden wir nicht widerstandslos hinnehmen!
Über alle Statusgruppen hinweg wurde deutlich, wie massiv die Belastung durch Stellenabbau und Arbeitsverdichtung bereits jetzt zunimmt. Immer mehr Arbeit lastet auf immer weniger Schultern. Maßnahmen zur Gleichstellung und zur Sicherung von Arbeitsrechten können schon heute vielerorts nicht mehr ausreichend umgesetzt werden. Gleichzeitig verschlechtern sich die Bedingungen für Lehre und Forschung spürbar – und sie werden sich weiter zuspitzen, wenn wir dem nicht gemeinsam entgegentreten.
Gerade deshalb ist es so wichtig, dass wir heute hier zusammengekommen sind: um ein gemeinsames Zeichen der Solidarität und des Widerstands zu setzen – von der MIN-Fakultät ausgehend an alle anderen Fakultäten und Fachbereiche. Wir werden diese Kürzungen, egal wo sie auftauchen und wen es erwischt, nicht akzeptieren!
Zusammen haben wir einstimmig eine gemeinsame Resolution verabschiedet. Doch dabei darf es nicht bleiben: Der Kampf gegen die Kürzungspolitik geht weiter. Lasst uns gemeinsam aktiv werden. Organisiert euch, vernetzt euch in euren Fachschaftsräten und Gremien, kommt zu den offenen Treffen von „MIN gegen Kürzungen“ und lasst uns Druck aufbauen.

Regarding the MIN General Assembly of Students and Staff on the 21st of May 2026
Around 220 students and staff members from the academic, administrative, technical and library sectors – as well as from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – gathered today to discuss the latest developments in the so-called ‘restructuring process’ and to make it clear: we will not accept these attacks on our working and studying conditions without a fight!
Across all staff categories, it has become clear just how drastically the burden of job cuts and increased workloads is already mounting. More and more work is falling on fewer and fewer shoulders. Measures to promote equality and safeguard labour rights can already no longer be adequately implemented in many places. At the same time, conditions for teaching and research are noticeably deteriorating – and they will continue to worsen if we do not stand up to this together.
That is precisely why it is so important that we have gathered here today: to send a united message of solidarity and resistance – starting from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and extending to all other faculties and departments. We will not accept these cuts, no matter where they occur or who they affect!
Together, we unanimously adopted a joint resolution. But we must not stop there: the fight against austerity measures continues. Let’s take action together. Get organised, network within your student councils and committees, come along to the open meetings of ‘MIN against Cuts’ and let’s build up the pressure.
